The TargetTack Family Story

One fall afternoon, a frustrating moment turned into a honey-do challenge: Ben was trying to pin a turkey target to an archery bag with a staple gun while shooting his compound bow. The staples wouldn’t bite, the target tore off every time he pulled arrows, and the language got… colorful. Julie laughed, and said, “We've got grandkids! You can’t be cussing like that—go invent something better.” TargetTacks started right there: a family challenge turned into a smarter, cleaner way to hang targets that works smarter and faster.

For decades, folks have been fighting tape, staples, and saggy clips to hang paper and vinyl targets. It’s slow. It’s messy. It fails when wind or weather shows up. We set out to challenge that status quo with a better way to put targets up (and take them down) fast.

That’s how TargetTacks were born. They’re reusable target-retention pins that hold tight on common backers and backstops—cardboard, plastic backers, layered foam, polyfusion blocks, and more. So you can set up cleanly and focus on shooting. They’re lightweight, durable, and made right here in the USA.

TargetTacks Are Going Viral

Military, government, and law enforcement agencies across the US are making the switch to TargetTack. Along with ranges and private training facilities, individual marksmen are making the switch, too.

"“TargetTack started because I was tired of watching good training time get wasted on bad target hangers. I’ve spent a lifetime around firearms and bows, from my military years to long days on the range with family, and I believe shooting sports teach discipline, safety, and confidence."
