TargetTack Gift Guide: Archery Edition
Shopping for an archer or hunter this year? Bows, arrows, and sights are personal picks, and most archers like to choose those themselves. The gifts that get used every week are simpler: a backstop that fits their space, a stack of fresh paper targets, and an easy, reusable way to hang them.
TargetTack a veteran-owned, family-operated business, and our target pins and paper targets are made in the USA. We put this guide together to help you find something the archer and two sport hunters in your life will reach for all year long. Every bundle below pairs gear we tested together at our own range, so it's ready to go the day it's unwrapped.

Archery and Hunter Stocking Stuffers Under $25

3-Inch TargetTacks 12-Pack: $22.95
If the archer on your list shoots into hay bales, straw butts, or softer layered foam, these are the TargetTacks built for that job. The 3-inch serrated shaft grabs deep and holds, so paper targets stay flat and square. Press them in by hand, then pull them out when it's time for a fresh target. They're reusable, rust-free, and come in four high-visibility colors: orange, green, teal, and pink.
Gift tip: Give each family member their own color. Everyone knows whose target is whose, and scoring a friendly round gets a lot easier.

1-Inch TargetTacks 12-Pack: $18.95
These are made for dense foam block targets, bag targets, and polyfusion blocks. They're also the size we pair with the BLOCK and BIGshot backstops in our Backyard Range Bundles below. Four tacks hold a standard paper target, so a 12-pack keeps three targets up at once.

1-Inch and 3-Inch Variety 12-Pack: $19.95
Not sure what they shoot into? The Variety Pack includes both sizes, so they're covered on foam blocks and hay bales alike. It's the same mix that comes in our Starter Archery Bundle, and it's a smart pick for hunters who practice with both a bow and a rifle.
12" x 12" Archery Practice Targets, 10-Pack: $10.95
Ten paper targets printed on humidity-resistant paper and made in the USA. Choose the design that fits how they like to practice:
-
Warm-Up: Check sight settings and groupings.
-
Bullzone: Work on accuracy.
-
Call Your Shot: Pick a spot and prove your precision. A favorite for pre-season hunting practice.
-
Trick-Shot: Build skills and have some fun doing it.
TargetTack Multipurpose Microfiber Towel: $12.95
A branded microfiber towel with a carabiner that clips onto a quiver, pack, or range bag. It's handy for wiping down arrows and gear between ends.

Archery Practice Packs Under $50
Targets and tacks run out at the same time, so these bundles put both in one box. Pick the target design and tack color, and the next practice session is covered.
Archery Practice 10 Target Pack + TargetTack 12-Pack: $29.35
One 10-pack of 12" x 12" targets in your choice of design, plus a 12-pack of TargetTacks. It's an easy gift for someone who already has a backstop and practices often.
Archery Practice 10 Target Pack + 25 1-Inch TargetTacks: $43.60
The same 10-pack of targets with 25 loose 1-inch TargetTacks in a bulk pouch. That's enough to hang six targets at once, which is great for families who practice together or archers who keep targets on several faces of a block.
The Big Gift: Backyard Range Bundles
This is the gift that gets an archer practicing at home without a weekend of research. Each bundle pairs a backstop from a partner brand we trust, either Feradyne Outdoors (Black Hole and BLOCK targets) or BIGshot Archery, with the TargetTacks we recommend for it and a 10-pack of our practice targets. You choose the tack color and target design. Bundles start at $115.
"We started TargetTack because archers shouldn't struggle to hang paper targets for practice or competition. We tested these products together at our own range before we paired them for you. When your targets run low, refills are one click away."

Starter Archery Bundle: Black Hole 4-Sided Target + Variety TargetTacks + Practice Targets: $115

Best for: someone brand new to archery, or a family introducing a new archer to the sport.
This is the easiest way to give the gift of archery without guessing which gear works together. The Black Hole is light, easy to carry, and sits on a wide base that keeps it steady. You can shoot field points into all four sides, and the manufacturer rates the open-face front and back for both fixed-blade and expandable broadheads. It's rated to stop arrows up to 300 FPS. It comes in two sizes, 18 and 22, so you can match it to the archer and the space.
Why a mix of tacks? The Black Hole has two kinds of faces, so this bundle includes both TargetTack sizes. Use the 3-inch tacks on the layered foam front and back, and the 1-inch tacks on the sides. Four tacks hold a practice target, so the 12-pack covers three targets at once.
Includes: Black Hole 4-Sided Layered Foam Archery Target, a 12-pack of 1-inch and 3-inch TargetTacks in your choice of color, and a 10-pack of 12" x 12" practice targets in your choice of design.
Portable Archery Practice Bundle: BLOCK 6x6 XD + 1" TargetTacks + Paper Targets: $122

Best for: smaller yards, grab-and-go practice, and pre-season prep.
The BLOCK 6x6 XD gives you six shooting sides, so when one face gets worn, you rotate to a fresh one. One side is a dedicated vitals side for practicing field shots. A built-in handle makes it easy to carry from the garage to the backyard and back, and the manufacturer rates it for field points and broadheads. Our 12" x 12" targets fit right on its 16" face.
Includes: BLOCK 6x6 XD target, a 12-pack of 1-inch TargetTacks, and a 10-pack of paper targets.
Compact Archery Practice Bundle: BIGshot Titan 13 + 1" TargetTacks + Paper Targets: $142

Best for: tuning a bow and taking practice on the road.
The Titan 13 packs BIGshot's N-Fused foam into a compact target built for modern compound bows and crossbows. Arrows come out with an easy two-finger pull, the six sides rotate to spread out wear, and built-in walk-back tuning patterns help dial in equipment. It's small enough to toss in the truck for camp.
Includes: BIGshot Titan 13 target, a 12-pack of 1-inch TargetTacks, and a 10-pack of paper targets.
Backyard Archery Range Bundle: BLOCK Backyard Range + 1" TargetTacks + Paper Targets: $330

Best for: families and friendly backyard competition.
The BLOCK Backyard Range gives you a 34" x 34" shooting surface on both sides. One side has aiming points for sighting in and tuning. The other has a built-in dartboard, which makes for a fun family game after dinner. At about 77 pounds, it stays put while you shoot, and carry handles help when it's time to move it. The manufacturer rates it for field points and broadheads. With 25 TargetTacks, you can hang six paper targets at once, with one to spare.
Windy where you live? Add a 3-inch TargetTacks 12-Pack for extra hold on blustery days.
Includes: BLOCK Backyard Range target, 25 loose 1-inch TargetTacks, and a 10-pack of paper targets.
Long-Range Archery Bundle: BIGshot Titan 33 + 1" TargetTacks + Paper Targets: $425

Best for: archers who want to stretch their range and tighten their groups at home.
The Titan 33 has a 33-inch target face with plenty of room for long-distance practice and walk-back tuning. BIGshot's N-Fused foam is built to stop arrows from fast compound bows and crossbows, and it still allows easy arrow removal. The six-sided core rotates to spread out wear. When the core finally wears down, you replace just the core (sold separately by BIGshot) instead of the whole target.
Includes: BIGshot Titan 33 target, 25 loose 1-inch TargetTacks, and a 10-pack of paper targets.

How to Choose the Right Archery Gift
-
Find out what they shoot into. Hay bales, straw butts, and softer layered foam call for 3-inch TargetTacks. Dense foam blocks and bag targets call for 1-inch. Not sure? Go with the Variety Pack.
-
Think about their experience and their space. Brand new to archery? Start with the Starter Bundle. If they have a smaller yard or limited storage, look at the Portable or Compact bundle. If they have room for a real backyard range, look at the Backyard or Long-Range bundle.
-
Match how they practice. Warm-Up targets are for sighting in. Bullzone is for scoring and accuracy. Call Your Shot is a favorite with bowhunters. Trick-Shot keeps friendly competition fun.

Common Questions
What size TargetTacks do I need for an archery target? Use 3-inch TargetTacks for hay bales, straw butts, and softer layered foam. Use 1-inch TargetTacks for dense foam blocks, bag targets, and polyfusion blocks. Every Backyard Range Bundle already includes the size we recommend for its backstop. The Starter Bundle includes both sizes because the Black Hole has two kinds of faces.
How many TargetTacks do I need for one target? Four, one in each corner, for most paper targets up to about 16" x 16". Larger targets or windy days may need a couple of extra tacks.
Are TargetTacks reusable? Yes. Use them again and again until they're visibly worn or damaged. Store them in their original packaging and out of direct sunlight between sessions.
Are TargetTacks a good gift for kids? TargetTacks are sharp, so we don't recommend them for anyone under 13. Archers 13 and older should use them with adult supervision. Our paper targets and backstop bundles are a great way for the whole family to practice together, with an adult handling the tacks.
Will my backstop and TargetTacks arrive together? No. Partner backstops ship from the partner, and TargetTack products ship from us, so plan for two deliveries.
About TargetTack
TargetTack started with a simple idea: hanging a target shouldn't be the hard part of practice. In just a few years, Ben and Julie Berry grew that idea into a veteran-owned, family-operated business serving archery ranges, firearms ranges, and training facilities across the country. We were honored to be featured on the cover of Inside Archery, and we're grateful to every archer, family, club, and retailer who helped get us here.
Archers Love TargetTack, and we'd be glad to help you find the right gift. TargetTacks and paper targets are made in the USA.
Shopping for someone who also spends time at the rifle or pistol range? Firearms range bundles are coming soon. Until then, see the TargetTack Gift Guide: Marksmen Edition for range bag gifts and practice packs.
